Strengthening architects' capabilities in AI through groundbreaking research collaboration with Norway's premier artificial intelligence initiative.
CWDA, the AI in Architecture research group within Contagree, has been selected as a project partner in MishMash – Center for AI and Creativity, one of six new national research centers for artificial intelligence, funded by the Norwegian government's AI initiative.
Led by Professor Alexander Refsum Jensenius (University of Oslo), in collaboration with Ida Jahr (Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences) and Daniel Nordgård (University of Agder), the MishMash center aims to create a national platform for exploring artificial intelligence at the intersection of human–machine interaction and the overlap between artistic and scientific research.

"We will explore how to develop interfaces that help people use AI effectively in their architecture practice."— Christian Wick, Head of AI in Architecture Research at CWDA
Empowering architects to work creatively and responsibly with AI in their professional practice.
CWD Architecture serves as a proving ground for applying research outcomes in real-world contexts.
Developing solutions that promote safety, efficiency, and design integrity through AI.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly central to design and construction, CWDA aims to ensure that architects are not only prepared to apply these tools, but also equipped to shape how AI is integrated into the built environment. We closely follow AI developments to ensure responsible and high-impact applications in creative workflows.
